Prepaid Cards

A prepaid credit card should probably not be referred to as a credit card at all, as no actual credit is offered by the card issuer. Instead, the cardholder actually spends the money which they themselves have previously deposited and stored on the card. However, the card still carries a card brand such as Visa, MasterCard or American Express and can be used in the same way as a more conventional credit card.
